You know why Harry Potter is amazing? 99% of fan theories, headcanons and meta could be canon because Harry is about as observant as a brick wall. Did Slytherins come back to fight in the Battle of Hogwarts? Did Draco Malfoy enjoy crossdressing? Was Hermione transgender? Who knows, certainly not Harry

This is so true though. Nearly all of the narration is third person close from Harry’s perspective and he was completely oblivious. Hermione had two dorm-mates who Harry would have seen every day, had numerous classes with, etc. and in seven years he never once notices/mentions their goddamned names.

I’m not saying I ~am~ Banksy, but I am white, kind of obnoxious, and wouldn’t mind selling out my values for a few million dollars.
