I’m going to assume you mean Marvel’s Maya Lopez and not the obscure henchwoman of the Riddler… cuz what would Echo be without Querry?
Maya was ok-ish when she was doing the whole Ronin thing and being a secret Avenger and all, but easily her most brutal was when she’d been in New York’s crime elite during Daredevil’s grittiest MK stories.
Taskmaster also has been scrubbed down a lot recently – first by being made into a relatively neutered combat teacher at Avengers Academy, and now with a bizarre retconned origin story about him not being able to form long term memories.
Maya has been trained to master Samurai style combat, but Taskmaster has stolen and memorized the combat styles of everyone he’s faced – From Captain America and Hawkeye to Ka-Zar and Wolverine. When he was a villain he was one of the most difficult to beat in one-on-one combat, and he could easily counter anything Maya could throw at him.
