Goddamn, I’m finally getting around to reading X-Women, and firstly I’m really sorry to say so but Chris Claremont is officially ready to be retired.
The man’s a legend, and with every new comic he’s allowed to write, it’s like he’s leaking integrity.
Second, check out Rogue. Only people who have taken Ecstasy recognize that expression that seems to say “ohmahgod touching this unpleasant inanimate object with my gloved hand is giving me history’s most insane orgasm EVAH!!”
And yes, that’s every character’s expression in every panel in the book.
We can discuss how far spandex crawls up asses in a later post, I’m still, uh, “reading” this thing.

The last semi-good thing CC wrote was rise and fall of the Shi’ar empire. I stuck with him through exiels, new exiles and big hero 6 but I had to drop him at that point. I think he had a stroke or something; I could list at least 5 major problems with his writing, none of which seemed to be so bad ten years ago.
