So the other day I watched the David Lynch version of Dune for the first time in over 20 years, and this basically sums up my experience:
Oh, I didn’t know this was produced by Dino De Laurentiis. Wait, Paul Atreides is played by Kyle MacLachlan? Woah, Patrick Stewart is Gurney! Wait, crazy Sean Young is Chani? Max Von Sydow is Dr. Kynes! Dean Stockwell (of Quantum Leap fame) is Dr. Yueh! etc., etc….
