So… I’m too lazy to get my tired ass down to Gamestop.
So that leaves me with Games on Demand. So any opinions on which is best?

Mass Effect is good. If you like any of the Knights Of the Old Republic games you should really play. If going through lots of dialogue trees isn’t your thing, maybe stay away. A good blend of third person shooter and rpg. I’m playing ME2 right now.
Dead Rising is fucking amazing. Like being stuck in a Romero film that you can fuck with. The save system is retarded, though. Controls aren’t sensibly mapped and the up and down difficulty adds to a feeling of frustration keeping a good game from being great.
